Lackadaisical leopard strolls into Indian residency, caught shortly after

Wildlife officials in India said a Lackadaisical leopard wandered into a city and was captured about five hours after it was spotted inside a house.

The Union Territory Forest Department said officials were summoned to a home in Chandigarh’s Sector 5, where the Lackadaisical leopard was spotted on CCTV cameras.

Officials said the Lackadaisical leopard wandered into the house about 8 a.m. before moving on to a neighbor’s yard.

Forest Department officers arrived on the scene and blocked off the area. The leopard was located and tranquilized about 1:30 p.m.

The Lackadaisical leopard was found to be in good health and was released into the Nepli Forest Reserve, officials said.

Farmer’s family finds leopard in living room

Living rooms are normally used for entertaining guests but it was much to the surprise of a farmer Dilip Jagtap, who found an unusual guest, a leopard, in his living room.

“We were returning from our farms when we realized that a leopard entered our house chasing down our pet dog,” he said.

It was time when all males were out of the house and the females were preparing for the food, he said the leopard chased their pet dog and entered the house after it.

The dog left the house from the other door while the leopard remained inside, forcing the farmers to evacuate the occupants and shutting down all the doors.

Accountability court hears assets case against Ishaq Dar

ISLAMABAD: An accountability court in Islamabad on Wednesday resumed the hearing of a reference filed against former finance minister Ishaq Dar by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for allegedly accumulating assets beyond his known sources of income. Judge Muhammad Bashir is recording the statement of a prosecution witness, Ishtiaq Ahmed. At the previous hearing, the accountability judge had reserved his verdict on an application filed by two co-accused seeking acquittal in the case. Naeem Mehmood and Mansoor Rizvi, who are directors of Dar’s companies, had filed the application requesting the judge to exonerate them from all charges for want of evidence. SFA raids several restaurants in Karachi, imposes fine

KARACHI: The Sindh Food Authority (SFA) on Friday raided several restaurants in city’s North Nazimabad area over unhygienic conditions, ARY News reported. According to the SFA, one of the restaurants was found utilizing the used oil multiple times. The items were also not properly frozen while crockery for serving the food was also not clean. The team imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on the restaurant. The SFA team found hygiene standards were sheerly compromised in food making to the core. The food inspectors said they had previously served notices to the food outlets, but the restaurant owners apparently turned a blind eye to it. Raids were also conducted in district Malir and Gulshan-e-Hadeed. Sanitary conditions and lack of fumigation facilities were found at the restaurants in some of the Malir outlets. Trump says US generals feel Beirut blast was likely an ‘attack’
