Talpur who is a member of the provincial assembly in Sindh and has production orders issued in her name for assembly appearances has claimed that she is lawfully allowed to attend the proceedings.

Talpur has argued that the appearance would interfere in the physical remand and court orders and hence to avoid a clash the dates need to be postponed.

The court has issued a notice on the matter to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the court has sought comments from the anti-graft watchdog on the matter.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday approached the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to disqualify former president Asif Ali Zardari’s sister Faryal Talpur as member of the Sindh Assembly.
