
ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Thursday said dawn of new era for Pakistan was on the horizon after completion of the current government’s tenure.
“You should be thankful to Allah (SWT) that you got rid of them today. This is an end to a protracted dark night. In sha Allah! The nation would get rid of the Sharif mafia for good. I repeat it, celebrate this occasion for I feel that, In sha Allah, the dawn of new era is imminent,” he said in a video statement issued on the eve of completion of five years of the government.
The General Elections 2018 will be held on July 25, 2018.
Imran asked the nation to offer two rakats of nafil prayer for tonight the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) government’s tenure will be completed.
“Never in Pakistan’s history has such a corrupt government got into power. Pakistan’s foreign debt jumped from Rs13,000 billion to Rs27,000 billion (in five years). Until 2008, Pakistan’s total foreign debt was Rs6,000 bn and then mega projects like Tarbela dam, Mangla dam, Warwsak dam and motorways were constructed.
“While, in their (PML-N) government the debt mounted to Rs27,000 billion from Rs13,000 bn,” he said asking that where had the debt gone and what projects were made during this time.
