Glamorous premiere of ‘Allahyar & Legend of Markhor’ held in Karachi

A star-studded premiere ceremony of ‘Gluco Allahyar and the Legend of Markhor’ was held in Karachi at Nueplax Cinemas on January 31.

A number of celebrities along with their kids graced the premiere of the latest animation treat by 3rd World Studios in association with ARY Films including Adnan Siddiqui, Faysal Quraishi, Sarwat Gilani, Zhalay Sarhadi, Aamina Sheikh, Hareem Farooq, Ejaz Aslam and Ali Rehman Khan, amongst others, and revealed their kids’ excitement about the movie.

The celebrity kids also took pictures with the Gluco Allahyar and the legend of Markhor movie character cut-outs.

The story revolves around, Allahyar (Anum Zaidi) and his animal companions Mehru (Natasha Humera Ajaz), Hero (Azfar Jafri) and Chakku (Abdul Nabi Jamali) as they gather courage and strength to embark on a journey to fight the evil  hunter Mani (Ali Noor), and save the endangered species. Written, produced and directed by the talented Uzair Zaheer Khan, the brains behind this exceptional venture.

The rest of the voice-overs are done by celebrities including Ali Rehman Khan, Hareem Farooq, Arshad Mehmood, Nadia Jamil, Amjad Chandhry, Arieb Azhar and Ahmed Ali.

ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) on Wednesday imposed a fine of Rs2 million on the K-Electric. Qatar to hike minimum wage ‘by end of year’

DOHA: Qatar could increase the minimum wage for migrant workers by the end of 2018, unions predicted on Monday, as the 2022 World Cup host seeks to push through labour reforms. It would be the first change to the monthly wage since its introduction by the gas-rich Gulf state last November. “By the end of the year we expect a new minimum wage to be set, that’s good news,” said Sharan Burrow, general secretary of the International Trade Union Confederation. Burrow did not name a figure but said the new wage would be calculated by assessing a “basket of goods”. She was speaking after meeting Qatar’s labour minister, Issa al-Jufali al-Nuaimi, and other government officials in Doha over the past two days. The minimum wage was set at 750 riyals a month ($206, 170 euro) on its introduction. In addition to the salary, labourers receive free accommodation, food and healthcare plans, covered by employers.
