Pakistan Peoples Party leader Yousuf Raza Gillani’s son made his guards open fire at Imran Khan’s convoy on Sunday, this was alleged by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in a statement.
As per the statement, vehicle behind Imran’s convoy came under fire, with a PTI leader, Faisal Javed, in it. However, Javed escaped unhurt as the vehicle he was in in bulletproof, it added.
A case will be filed against Gillani’s son Ali Musa, the PTI statement read.
However, Ali Musa has denied the allegations, saying they were baseless.
According to him, five speeding vehicles took over his near Pattoki. He added the last of the five vehicles hit his car after which those who initiated the act exchanged harsh words with his guards.
“But no bullet was fired from our end,” Ali Musa said. Ali Musa added when they called 15, the police helpline, they we got to know that the five vehicles were in Imran Khan’s convoy.
Earlier in the evening, Imran was in Okara for a rally.
Okara is at a distance of about 50 kilometres from Pattoki where Ali Musa said his vehicle was hit.
